Living Biographies

Description
Seventh and eighth graders from our local middle school (Selinsgrove Area Middle School) interviewed members of our Center on a volunteer basis. Two forty-five minute interview sessions were held at the Center for the students to gather information. A third session was held to "wrap-up" what the students had composed back in the classroom. Finally, the adults participated in the presentation of the biographies at the Middle School.

Target Audience:
Seventh and eighth grade students and Center members.

Organizations Involved:

Selinsgrove Area Middle School, Selinsgrove Senior Action Center, SCOPE (S.A.M.S.)

Impact:
Good feelings of friendship between students and members.

Problems:
Some members had to be reminded of the  interview dates and We made personal phone calls to remind them. There was some difficulty in locating enough private areas for the interviews.
