Project Kidds

Description
Project Kidds stands for kids in desperately damaged situations. It was created to meet the ever-increasing needs of all abused and neglected children. It was our goal to help with this community project by making doll's blankets, doll's clothing, wooden toys and blocks.

Target Audience
Infants to twelve year olds.

Organizations Involved
Churches, community organizations,  Blue Ridge Senior Center

Budget
Donations from all the above organizations.

Impact
Members are enthusiastic about this project because it gives something back to the community. In the last two years, we have given 40 large toy blocks, 6 large bags of wooden blocks, all types of wood toys, many sets of doll clothing, and over 100 receiving blankets, quilts and burping pads.

Problems
Initially it was hard to develop members' interest in this project. We then had a speaker come to the Center to talk about it and explain its purpose. The response since then has been excellent.
