2010 Farmer Market Voucher Distribution

Description/Overview
The success story of the Rose Tucker Center is the farmers market voucher distribution that was held on June23rd at the Luzerne County Community College. We were asked to market our center during this time and to get new members to join. The day was very well organized and the help from our volunteers was remarkable. Their approach was with a positive and friendly attitude. Along with the help and cooperation of the volunteers we were able to market our center. We made picture collages of our members participating in all the great activities we offer, passed out flyers that listed the benefits of our center and what it has to offer to our local seniors. There were freebies and a raffle drawing for new members in which one of them would win a gift certificate to the local grocery store. With all the hard work and dedication of our volunteers we were able to distribute nearly 1,000 vouchers and enlist 40 new members to the Rose Tucker Center
